My name is Tristan, and over the years I've designed and built a lot of multi-disciplinary projects. I am a graduate of Mechanical Engineering from the University of Waterloo and during my degree I worked in automated manufacuring/assembly and consumer robotics. After graduation, I worked in silicon valley at a robotics startup. Then, I started a consumer audio electronics company with my partner Liz. I'm very passionate about design and manufacturing of all kinds, and I've acquired a wide range of skills to bring my (sometimes ambitious) ideas to life. I can apply these skills to your project to make it a reality!
What I Do:
I specialize in mechanical/mechatronic product development, everything from prototyping to at scale manufacturing. I have a lot of experience with:
- Rapid prototyping with 3D printing, CNC, chemical molding
- Integration of sensors, motors, LEDs and other electronic components
- DFM of injection molded, sheet metal and machined parts
- Automated assembly, testing and quality control
- Parametric modeling of components, assemblies and drawings
